New design director sought

For the UK’s national authority on design

Friday 29 October 1999

A new Director of Design and Development is to be recruited by the Design Council.

The new director will bring to the Design Council high level understanding and experience of design, which the organisation will be able to use both with its partners and in its own use of design.

The role will focus on developing tools and understanding of leading-edge design practice, especially relating to e-business.

The new appointment follows the departure of former Design and Communication Director Sean Blair, who has left the Design Council to pursue his own business interests. Martin Brown, former Director of Government and Media, takes over as Director of Government and Communications.

In addition to the above moves, the Design Council is seeking a Publishing Manager, who will be responsible for leading the organisation’s communications work in electronic and other formats.

Further details of all posts will appear on the Design Council’s website.
