Are you looking for an original venue in central London?

The Design Council offers an inspiring and innovative environment in the heart of Covent Garden which can be booked for meetings, seminars and receptions. 

Our flexible spaces can host events for 10 to 200 people, and all the areas on offer are naturally lit with fully fitted air conditioning. Our award-winning in-house caterers can offer a range of menus from breakfasts and light snacks to formal dinners. We have a range of state-of-the-art presentation equipment and can arrange for technical support services to be onsite during your event.

We have the following two spaces available for hire. Choose from either the Presentation Area or the Conference Room.

Presentation Area

The Presentation AreaThe Presentation Area offers an original and flexible space for both conference and reception style events.

The area can be fully or partially closed off on either side with large birch faced plywood sliding panels. It has an adjoining Café Area which is an ideal networking space.

Ceiling height: 4.1m

Conference Room 

The Conference Room: Cabaret styleThe Conference Room lends itself to a more formal boardroom style meeting or larger brainstorming and breakout sessions.
Large external windows cover half of the wall space and offer excellent views of the Royal Opera House.

Hire charges

The Design Council makes a nominal room hire charge to cover the cost of administration, set up and services for your event.

The rate is levied per day, and is charged as follows :

 

  • Under 10 guests     £200
  • Under 50 guests     £300
  • Under 100 guests   £350
  • 100+ guests           £400
