The business is nothing other than a group of people. Innocent starts and finishes with the talents of the people in this building, and that’s the single most important factor we’ve had in having the success that we’ve had. We’ve got an incredibly brilliant, talented, committed group of people that have been brought on board, and they’re making Innocent so much more than what myself, Adam and John could ever make it. The thing that I’m most proud of, the thing I’m most excited about, is the people I get to work with here. It is the source of the success of the business. So, as one of the guys involved in running it, you’re just painfully aware of how important it is just to get brilliant people on board, and to do what you can to give everyone the best opportunity to develop themselves and to help create the opportunities in their own bit of the business. Now, that’s an easy thing to say, and I don’t think we do it half as well as we should do, but we endeavour to make it as good a place to be part of as we possibly can.
You’ve got a really bright bunch of people here; everybody is full of initiative, full of spark, really capable problem-solvers, creative thinkers, really innovative in the way that they approach things, and we try to encourage that as well throughout, throughout the working, the working week as well. It’s all about us as a team, but it’s also about making sure that each single person in here feels like an individual and is respected as an individual, feels motivated and developed on their own merits as well as in the team. And I guess as we grow, and more and more people come in, then, you know, we will continue to put the resources in place to ensure that everybody still feels like an individual person. And I think that’s the key in making sure you keep the small company feel, to ensure that we keep having an open communication across the whole company, not matter whether… no matter whether it’s bad or good stuff, you know, that we keep continuing to talk to each other.
