Back in 1997, the Design Council embarked on a mission, backed by Tony Blair, to spotlight British products and services embodying the best of innovation and design. 1,012 Millennium Products were identified. Living Innovation, developed by the Design Council and the Department of Trade and Industry puts the spotlight on how nine of the businesses behind these Millennium Products achieved success. |

The creative industries are booming - digital media, design, film, performing arts, music and others employ around 1.4 million people and generate £60 billion. But what's it like to work in the creative industries and how do you get in? The Design Council and the Arts Council of England have produced Your Creative Future, a new online guide for school and college students including interviews, further reading, contacts and other information. It follows the printed version of Your Creative Future launched in April 2000. |
