One of the Design Council's key functions is to convey the importance of design to government, opposition parties and the wider public sector. We influence and advise government on the use of design to improve both the nation's competitiveness and quality of life.
To this end, we are working on a wide range of political initiatives. These include inspiring the best use of design in public purchasing; raising awareness of the need to promote Britain through our strengths in creativity, innovation and design; and demonstrating design's economic impact.
