bin - Company |
In the
programme, Seymour Powell work closely to develop a better
bin with Lucy Housewares, which is part of Plysu Brands, the
consumer division of Plysu plc. For generations, Lucy has
been involved in making practical, well-made and colourful
housewares products, including a much-copied range of swing-top
bins and outside refuse bins. Lucy also has a professional
arm that produces colour-coded hygiene products used in hospitals,
schools, hotels and businesses.
Plysu plc is one of the UK's largest plastic companies. Founded
shortly after World War Two as a supplier of PVC protective
clothing and named after the Ministry of Defences code
word for Supply, Plysu grew rapidly on a wave
of demand for low-cost consumer products. Its reputation for
innovation and design extends to all areas of its business,
from new methods of recycling plastic to new colours and designs
for its gardening and housewares brands.
Plysu has a number of consumer brands manufactured at different
sites within the UK, of which Lucy Housewares is one. Among
others, Plysu home & garden manufactures mainly utility
products such as water butts, composters, watering cans and
storage boxes (the majority of which contain 100% recycled
material); and Ward manufactures garden plastic products such
as propagators, planters, water features and watering cans
in addition to products for Alan Titchmarsh under his brand
Barleywood.
