jacket - Company |
In the
programme, Seymour Powell work to design a better life jacket
with Crewsaver, the worlds largest manufacturer of ferry
life jackets. Crewsaver has been producing life jackets and
marine safety equipment for more than 40 years. Based at Gosport,
the company sells over 40,000 jackets a year. Its products
are in use worldwide and the leisure, commercial and military
markets have adopted many of its designs as standard.
Crewsaver now forms part of Cosalt Plc, a company with roots
in the fishing industry. Cosalt Plc, which was founded in
1873 as the Great Grimsby Coal, Salt and Tanning Company,
is a diversified business operating in many different markets
and is the largest marine safety company in Europe.
Continuous development and investment in technology, production
processes and new products ensure that the Crewsaver range
meets the highest quality standards. For this reason Crewsaver
was one of the first companies to have its life jackets, buoyancy
aids, harnesses and safety lines CE Approved. Meeting safety
standards is a big issue in its industry. |
