Boots has more than 63,000 employees and more than 1,400 stores ranging from small community pharmacies to city centre department stores. It leads markets in areas ranging from cosmetics to medicines, sunglasses to film processing, and around half the products sold are Boots own brand. Although Boots sells branded razors, it is also keen to develop its own brand in the shaving market, for women as well as men. Women’s shaving products now account for some 20 per cent of the market.
