Culture Secretary Chris Smith will be speaking at a Central London Partnership event hosted by the Design Council at

6.30 - 8.00 pm on Wednesday 10 March 1999

The event, attended by leading figures in the UK’s creative industries, is at the Design Council’s offices:

34 Bow Street, LONDON, WC2E 7DL.

Mr Smith is expected to report on progress made by his department in mapping the creative industries - a project launched at the Design Council last November.

Also speaking will be Sir John Egan, chairman of the Central London Partnership. The meeting will later be opened up for a general discussion.
