The Design Council

The Design Centre for British Industries was opened in April by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in London. It was seen as a 'shopping guide to well-designed British goods for those who want to buy well and save time'.

The Scottish Design Centre was opened in Glasgow by the President of the Board of Trade, the Rt Hon Sir David Eccles
