The team do this by working with key partners and by sharing information, knowledge and practical tools.

Sue builds and develops dynamic partnerships with key business organisations, such as the Small Business Service, Business Links and Regional Development Agencies, to champion the effective use of design as a strategic tool by small and medium-sized businesses.

organises Business and Research Team activities and
events and supports the team in their work with partners.
She works directly with partner organisations and
is responsible for a number of projects, including

works with the UK investment community by developing
partnerships and programmes which aim to improve their
awareness of the value and implications of the design
process, both for themselves and the businesses they
