Education

The Education and Training Team has been building bridges between business and education. By working with partner organisations to create initiatives like Design in Education Week the aim is to prepare the future workforce for flexible working and to emphasise re-skilling. The team also helps government departments in implementing new and effective design strategies.

	Team Co-ordinator - Emma Jenkins emmaj@designcouncil.org.uk Emma co-ordinates the education team's activities, monitors project progress and maintains contact with partners.
Senior Manager, Higher Education and Business - Lesley Morris lesleym@designcouncil.org.uk Lesley develops and manages projects and partnerships, working particularly with Higher Education, professional development and training organisations and with businesses. She liaises with the research team and also speaks at events, seminars and conferences.
	Development Manager, Education - Kate Williamson katew@designcouncil.org.uk Kate develops and manages projects and partnerships working particularly with schools and statutory bodies responsible for curriculum development. She inspires the development of learning tools and techniques with partner organisations focusing on Design Technology and Creativity. Kate also liaises with education and businesses and speaks at events and conferences.
