Government

The role of the Government Team is twofold. Firstly, it is to help government departments to increase their effectiveness and efficiency by improving their management of design. Secondly, it is to influence the government's industrial, trade and education policies to support the best use of design by the UK to improve prosperity and quality of life.

Tamsin is developing initiatives with government, business and other organisations to promote a modern image of Britain around the world, in particular by raising awareness of British creativity, innovation and design.

 






Development Manager, Policy - Alison Huxley

Alison's responsibility is to develop relationships with government departments and other organisations and to contribute to the policy making process - particularly on education and competitiveness issues.

Matthew’s responsibility is to develop and manage relationships with Government departments, and other organisations, both in the UK and overseas on a variety of different innovation and design projects.

 






Government Team Coordinator - William Knight

williamk@designcouncil.org.uk

William supports the Government team towards achieving its goals. He assists in political and parliamentary initiatives, both national and international. Co-ordinating government liaison and information across the Design Council he is always involved in a number of different projects.
